Your outfit can go from 100 to 0 once you put on those Nike socks with a pair of Adidas trainers. Don't be those people.
Regardless of the colour coordination of your outfit or your style of fashion, the first thing on your list should be to make sure no branded logos clash with a competitor.
There is a reason why different brands have slightly different styles, so please. I beg of you - Do. Not. Expect. Them. To. Go. Well. Together.
Look at the example of these outfit failures. This is anything but 'fire' - it is ashes, and deserves to be thrown and stay at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, nowhere to be found.

*Note* no matter how "expensive" the brand is, don't try to put it into your outfits as much as you can. Sometimes it's just not meant to be and you'll end up being a fashion terrorist that has tried too hard.

And I'm not just talking about socks and shoes! The same applies with tracksuits. It's as simple as colour coordinating.

Don't even think about wearing Jordans with an Adidas t-shirt. It may seem like general knowledge but I see and know too may people ruining their outfits by wearing the wrong socks or shirt. Remember you are not the Mozart of fashion, do not try experimenting or doing too much. Keep it simple and trust your brands. I am not saying you can't wear a H&M cardigan with Adidas shoes, I'm talking about clothing pieces with huge logos on them intended for 'flexing'. (I will talk about how showing logos is not drip in my upcoming posts - subscribe for more.)
By following this simple advice, you will look like you've made some effort into your outfit and your pieces will look well together. I will write more about colour coordinating soon but for now, please learn to not make your brand logos on your outfits battle each other.
